Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive JKIA, Nairobi/ Kenya.

On arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport Nairobi, Splendours of Africa Tours representative will meet/ welcome you and transferred to Sunrise hotel in city centre booked on bed and breakfast basis.

NOTE: Depending with the time of your arrival, we can organize a short-tour in and around Nairobi e.g. Karen Blixen Museum author of Out of Africa movie; to Giraffe Centre sanctuary and hand-feed the gentle endangered Rothschild giraffes. And later on proceed to Daphne Sheldrick Animal Orphanage, and learn how orphaned baby elephants and rhinos are bottle-fed and re-introduced to the wild. While there, you may “adopt” an elephant.

Day 2: Nairobi - Masai Mara Game Reserve

This is a PRIVATE-Safari; we will pick-you-up from your hotel after breakfast at 07:00-am to Masaai Mara, and to arrive in Masaai Mara in good time for lunch. After lunch, proceed straight for an afternoon game drive in the park until sunset.....this is the advantage you’ll have!

Note: We will depart early to Masaai Mara to see more this first-day in Masaai Mara to find new discoveries, new experiences and enjoyments! You will spend two nights here to explore, discover and experience the magic of Mara, a spectacular watch for many millennia that has put Masai Mara the worlds 7th wonder!...Wildebeest Migration..! (from July, through August). Dinner & overnight-stay at Mara Sentrim Tented camp. Meal Plan: Full board accommodation.

Day 3: Full Day at Masai Mara Game Reserve

After breakfast 07:30-am, we leave for a full day of game viewing-drive into the expansive The famous Masai Mara Game Reserve which is a wildlife paradise! Virtually every type of animal is to be found here……Spotted; speckled and dotted are the meanings of “Mara”. This is the descriptive name given by the Maasai people for this beautiful land of trees, shrub, savannah grassland and shadows made by clouds that hover over the plains. You will be driven up to the Mara River where you’ll enjoy picnic lunch at the River-side-as you watch hippos and crocodiles basking and bathing in the river-and watch thousands of Wildebeest migration from Serengeti park/ Tanzania crossing river into Masai Mara/ Kenya: - After lunch, proceed with afternoon game drive until sunset then driven back to your tented camp for a deserved hot shower and a buffet sumptuous Hot dinner.

Day 4: Masai Mara - Lake Nakuru National Park

Pre-breakfast game drive from 06:00-am to 10:30-am, and then back for your full breakfast at the camp/lodge. Visit the Maasai villages [manyatta] and depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, with picnic lunch served on the way. Arrive in Lake Nakuru late afternoon for dinner and overnight-stay.

The Great Rift Valley was formed millions of years ago. Stretching some 6,000 miles from Jordan/Nothern-Africa to Mozambique, it’s the largest Rift on Earth. In Kenya, the rift gave rise to many lakes that have become a habitat for diverse wildlife. One such lake is Lake Nakuru- alkaline lake. Famously Lake Nakuru attracts seasonal vast numbers of fabulously colored pink flamingos to its shallow waters, Hippos, various animals, white and black rhinos, giraffes; tree climbing lions, leopards and a profusion of birds are also present at the lake. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru Golden Resort hotel.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru National Park - Lake Naivasha/Hell's Gate

After an early breakfast, proceed for morning game drive in Lake Nakuru Park known for its migratory thousands of flamingoes and other water birds species. The only park in Kenya where you will be able to see the black and white rhinos, many buffaloes and tree climbing lions. Leave Nakuru Park after lunch, and drive to Lake Naivasha for a boat-ride on the lake and visit to the Crescent Island where you’ll a sundowner. Dinner and overnight at Sweet Lake Resort.

Day 6: Lake Naivasha - Hells Gate - Amboseli National Park

After early morning breakfast proceed for a morning game drive at Hells Gate Park, and nature walk to see the gorges and hot-springs. Proceed to Amboseli national park and arrives at the Amboseli Sentrim Camp/or Kibo Safari camp set in the Shadow of Mt. Kilimanjaro "Africa’s Highest Mountain. Evening game drive Dinner and overnight at Sentrim Amboseli.

Days 7: Amboseli National Park

Full day spent at Amboseli national park with morning and afternoon game drives, where heard of huge Elephants roaming about and many other plain games in abundance in the park many Zebra, Giraffe, Waterbuck, lions and Hippo just to mention a few. You will see Mount Kilimanjaro closer and enjoy a Bush dinner in the evening. Meals and overnight-stay at Sentrim Amboseli

Day 8: Amboseli National Park - Namanga - Arusha

After Breakfast, depart with game drive en-route for Namanga border of Kenya/ Tanzania for immigration formalities. Proceed to Arusha hotel town arriving in good time for an overnight-stay, [Meal plan: bed, lunch and overnight]

Days 9: Arusha Town - Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, Pick up from your Arusha hotel with private-transport and safari guide in a Toyota Land Cruiser 4x4-WD and proceed to the jewel in Ngorongoro's crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest un flooded and unbroken caldera 8th Wonder of the world. About 22kms across, 600 meters deep and 30 sq kms in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder. Enjoy the panoramic views at the crater rim, Full board accommodation is included in the tour price. Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Panorama camp.

Day 10: Ngorongoro Crater - Airport / Zanzibar

Depart with your picnic lunch boxes and descend to the crater-floor for your half day of game viewing in your private jeep and guide. You will be transferred to the picnic site for your lunch then drive to Kilimanjaro Airport to connect your onward-flight to Zanzibar. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch.

Day 12: Zanzibar / Dar Es Salaam / Depart
